For over 15 years, Michael Guilbert has built and led Waterproof Pictures, focusing on the complete client experience, from ideation to total satisfaction and retention.
Michael’s passion is client relations, and he leads every project and ensures its proper execution. He has a deep understanding of storytelling and content creation.
His career began in 1996 at NBC on the weekend editions of TODAY (as Segment Producer/Production Associate/Associate Producer) where he crafted compelling content that both educated and entertained the audience. Making work that could have a dual-purpose impact stayed with him as he traveled across Europe, Asia and Australia to bring his clients’ visions to life, and injecting international flavors to projects as the opportunity arrived.
Michael has been tapped to make the impossible possible, including fashion runway shows in Milan, London and Paris, as well as sold-out stadium concerts in Sydney, Hamburg, Guadalajara and Dublin. He’s flown drones though the lush rain forests of Fiji to get the perfect shot. He has shot fashion in NYC, music in Nashville, hurricane recovery in New Orleans, AI bots in San Francisco, and Super Bowl games in Houston, San Diego and Miami. There is no project too big or small, including capturing the massive agricultural vibrancy of California’s Central Valley.
While Michael is managing Waterproof’s wide range of clients (such as The Walt Disney Company, Apple, Google, FIJI Water, JUSTIN Winery, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, W, Glamour, Universal Music Group, RCA Records, and Warner Bros. Records), he is also leading an on-going AI project with StatMuse. Among his many interests are futurism and the democratization of technology.
He graduated with a B.A. degree in English Language and Literature from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 1994.
